A contributing factor to the proliferation of video content is Snapchat, whose 10 second pictures and videos mirror that of Facebook’s shorter video time. The app is most popular with the younger crowd, and millennials make up 76% of active users. Snapchat claims that on any given day the app is used by 41% of people in the United States alone – a staggering 150 million people, most of them under the age of 35.
